In 2021, Fyütch began making children's music. Many of his songs became hits on the Sirius XM Radio channel Kids Place Live. He has worked with other popular family music artists like Divinity Roxx, Rissi Palmer, and Pierce Freelon.

Early Life and School

Fyütch was born in Gary, Indiana. As a child, he was a talented public speaker. At age seven, he won a city-wide speech contest. He even gave speeches in Washington, D.C., on the steps of the U.S. Congress building.

When he was eight, his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee. In high school, he played the alto saxophone in the jazz band. After graduating in 2006, he went to Belmont University. He studied the music business and graduated in 2011.

Music Career

2006–2009: Starting Out

In 2006, Fyütch and his friends started a hip hop and soul band. They became well-known in Nashville and opened for famous artists like Kanye West and GZA.

In 2009, Fyütch released his first solo project, an EP called The Sci Fly EP. At the time, he used the stage name Future the Artist. The EP was praised by critics and was nominated for a Nashville Music Award.

2012–2014: A New Name

In 2012, Fyütch changed his stage name from Future to avoid being confused with another rapper named Future.

In a 2014 interview, it was revealed that Fyütch had used the name first. The interviewer said, "There was another Future that was out there... from Nashville, TN... He actually was called Future in 2003 but he had to change his name because you got big."

Fyütch later made a new version of one of the other Future's songs. He called his version "The Other Future (Don't Sell...)."

2015–2018: Moving to New York

In 2015, Fyütch moved to New York City. He quickly became known for his talent in freestyle rap, winning several competitions.

In 2017, he started a web series called Fyütchology. One episode, called "Country Kendrick," became very popular. In the video, Fyütch performed songs by rapper Kendrick Lamar in a country music style. The video went viral and was shown on MTV's show Total Request Live.

In 2018, Fyütch started an organization to help young artists. He also won grants and awards for his music from arts organizations in New York.

2021–Present: Music for Families

In 2021, Fyütch began to focus on making music for children and families. On January 18, 2021, he released "Black Women in History." The song celebrates important Black women in American history, like Fannie Lou Hamer and Ida B Wells. The song hit #1 on the Kids Place Live radio channel.

He released more family-friendly songs, including "Pick It Up" for Earth Day. His album Family Tree came out in July 2021.

Fyütch also joined a group of Black family music artists called the 1 Tribe Collective. Their album, All One Tribe, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Children's Music Album in 2022.

On January 17, 2022, Fyütch appeared on The Today Show. He talked about his music and his role as a father and educator.
