She won six singles titles and three doubles titles in her career. Her highest singles ranking was No. 162 in the world, which she reached in December 2018. She stopped playing tennis professionally in 2020.

Early Life and Training

Gabriella Taylor was born in Southampton. Her father is from Newcastle, England, and her mother is from Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

When she was 13, Gabriella moved to Marbella, Spain. This move helped her focus more on her tennis career. Later, at age 19, she moved to Barcelona. She became a professional tennis player when she was 16 years old.

Junior Success

In 2012, Gabriella won the Under-14 girls' singles title at the 'British Junior National Championships'. She beat fellow player Katie Swan in the final. Later that year, she was the runner-up at the Junior Orange Bowl. This is a very important junior tennis tournament.

In 2013, Gabriella and Katie Swan teamed up. They won the Under-16 British National Junior Champions in doubles. In 2014, Gabriella was part of the British team that won the Maureen Connolly Challenge Trophy. This is an annual competition for players under 18 against the USA. First Professional Wins

In 2016, Gabriella played her best junior tournament at Wimbledon. She reached the quarterfinals. However, she had to stop playing in her next match. She had a bacterial infection called leptospirosis.

Breaking Through (2017-2018)

In May 2017, Gabriella won her first $25,000 tournament in South Korea. She beat Danielle Lao in the final. Wimbledon gave her special entries into the qualifying rounds for both singles and doubles.

In November 2017, she started working with new coaches. She said they helped her change her mindset. This led to her most successful time in tennis.
