Galdakao facts for kids
Galdakao is a lively town and municipality found in the Biscay province. This area is part of the Basque Country in northern Spain.
The town is located in the Greater Bilbao region. It sits in the beautiful valley of the Ibaizabal river. Galdakao is also close to the Ganguren mountain range.
High mountains surround the town. To the north, you can find peaks like Arrezurriaga (329 meters), Txispamendi (221 meters), and Santa María (476 meters). To the south, there are Upo (556 meters) and Mandoia (640 meters).
Galdakao shares its borders with several other towns. To the north, it touches Zamudio, Lezama, and Larrabetzu. To the south, it borders Zaratamo and Zeberio. On the east side, you'll find Amorebieta, Lemona, and Bedia. Finally, to the west, it is next to Etxebarri and Basauri.
