Gansevoort is a small community known as a hamlet in New York. It is located in Saratoga County, within the town of Northumberland. This hamlet is named after Peter Gansevoort. He was a brave hero during the Revolutionary War. He helped win a key battle that led to the defeat of an army.

Early Days and Native Americans
