Discover the History of Gardeners' World Live

The very first Gardeners' World Live happened in June 1992. It was created because of the popular BBC TV show called Gardeners' World. Back then, about 17,500 people came to the show, and over 100 companies showed their products.

Since 2005, Gardeners' World Live has been held alongside the BBC Good Food Show Summer. This means you can enjoy both gardening and food fun at the same time! For a while, the show also included the Royal Horticultural Society Flower Show Birmingham. Even though they are now separate, BBC Gardeners' World Live is still one of the biggest gardening events in the country.

There are now even more Gardeners' World events! Since 2021, the Gardeners' World Spring Fair has been held in April or May at Beaulieu Motor Museum in Hampshire. And since 2022, the Gardeners' World Autumn Fair takes place in September at Audley End House in Essex.

What Happens at the Show?

Every year, between 90,000 and 100,000 people visit Gardeners' World Live. It's a really popular event! Tickets for the show are sold through the NEC's box office. In 2017, the event celebrated 50 years of the BBC Two TV show, Gardeners' World.
