How Many Episodes Were Made?

Garfield and Friends ran for seven seasons. In total, there were 121 full episodes. However, if you count each cartoon story separately, there were 363 segments! This included 242 Garfield cartoons and 121 U.S. Acres cartoons.

Who Created the Show?

The show was created by Jim Davis, who also created the original comic strips. Many talented people worked on the show, including writers like Mark Evanier and voice actors like Lorenzo Music, who was the voice of Garfield.

Meet the Characters

The show features a main group of characters from the Garfield comic strip and a different set of farm animals from U.S. Acres.

Garfield

Garfield is the main character and a very famous orange cat. He is super lazy and loves to eat, especially lasagna. He also enjoys sleeping a lot and watching TV. Garfield often tries to trick his owner, Jon, or annoy Odie.

Jon Arbuckle

Jon is Garfield and Odie's owner. He is a bit nerdy but very kind and loyal to his pets. Jon often tries to go on dates, but they usually don't end well for him. He loves Garfield and Odie, even when they cause trouble.

Odie

Odie is a yellow dog who lives with Garfield and Jon. He is not very smart and often has his tongue hanging out. Odie is very friendly and happy, but he can sometimes annoy Garfield, who loves to kick him off the table.

Nermal

Nermal is a cute, gray cat who often visits Jon's house. He thinks he is the cutest cat in the world and loves to remind Garfield of it. This makes Garfield very annoyed, and he often tries to send Nermal to Abu Dhabi.
