Where is Garrett, Texas?
Garrett is in the eastern part of Ellis County. The city of Ennis is just south of Garrett.
A big highway called Interstate 45 runs along the eastern side of the town. You can get to Garrett from Exit 255 on I-45. This highway can take you north about 32 miles (51 km) to Dallas. If you go south, it leads about 209 miles (336 km) to Houston.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Garrett covers a total area of about 1.82 square miles (4.7 square kilometers). Only a very small part of this area, about 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometers), is water.
