Gary Michael Cole (born September 20, 1956) is a well-known American actor. He has starred in many movies and TV shows. Gary Cole started his acting career on stage in Chicago in 1985.
He became famous for his role as Jack 'Nighthawk' Killian in the TV series Midnight Caller. He is also known for his roles in The Brady Bunch Movie and Office Space. You might also recognize his voice from popular cartoons like Family Guy and Kim Possible.

Gary Michael Cole was born on September 20, 1956. He grew up in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. His father, Robert, worked in finance. His mother, Margaret, was a school assistant. Gary also has an older sister named Nancy.
While in high school, Gary Cole acted for the first time. He played Snoopy in the musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. After high school, he studied theater at Illinois State University. There, he was classmates with other future actors like Laurie Metcalf and John Malkovich.
Gary Cole's Acting Career
Gary Cole began his professional acting journey in 1983. He started as a stage actor in Chicago. In 1985, he joined the famous Steppenwolf Theatre Company. He also acted in several plays in New York City.
He became widely known for his TV role as Jack "Nighthawk" Killian in Midnight Caller (1988–1991). This show made him a popular face on television.

In 1995, Gary Cole played Mike Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie. He returned for the sequel, A Very Brady Sequel, and a TV movie. Another memorable role was Bill Lumbergh in the 1999 movie Office Space.
He has also had many important roles on TV. These include Sheriff Lucas Buck in American Gothic. He played Vice President Bob Russell in The West Wing. He also appeared as Kurt McVeigh in The Good Wife and The Good Fight.
From 2013 to 2019, Gary Cole had a big role as Kent Davison in the HBO comedy series Veep. For his work on Veep, he was nominated for an Emmy Award. He also won a Screen Actors Guild Award with his castmates.
Voice Acting and Recent Work
Gary Cole is also a talented voice actor. He has lent his voice to many animated shows. He was the voice of Harvey Birdman in Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. He also voices Principal Shepherd in Family Guy and Sergeant Bosco in Bob's Burgers.
He was the voice of Dr. James Possible in Kim Possible. He also voiced Mayor Fred Jones Sr. in Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.
More recently, Gary Cole joined the main cast of the popular TV series NCIS in 2021. He plays Alden Parker.
Personal Life
Gary Cole married actress Teddi Siddall on March 8, 1992. They had one daughter named Mary. Mary is autistic. Teddi Siddall passed away in 2018.
On July 7, 2021, Gary Cole married interior designer Michelle Knapp.
