Gary Dean Plummer (born February 21, 1962) is a retired American professional basketball player. He played as a power forward or center.
Early Life and College Career
Gary Plummer was born on February 21, 1962. He grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He went to Osborn High School in Detroit.
After high school, Gary went to Boston University. He played college basketball for the Boston Terriers from 1980 to 1984. He was a very good player in college. In 1984, he was named to the First-team All-ECAC North.
Playing Professional Basketball
In 1984, Gary Plummer was chosen by the Golden State Warriors. This happened in the second round of the 1984 NBA draft. He was the 45th player picked overall.
Gary played in the NBA for two seasons. He played for the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets. In total, he played 126 games in the NBA. He scored 531 points during his time in the league.
After his NBA career, Gary also played basketball in other countries. He played for professional teams in Israel, Italy, Spain, and Greece. He was even a Greek League All-Star in 1994. He played professional basketball until the year 2000.
Life After Playing
After he stopped playing basketball, Gary Plummer started new projects. He now runs basketball camps called N Your Court (NYC). He also has AAU programs. These programs help young basketball players improve their skills.
