NBA Draft and Early Professional Play
In 1994, Gaylon Nickerson was chosen in the 1994 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He was the 34th player picked overall, in the second round. Even though he was drafted by the Hawks, he played only a few games in the NBA. During the 1996–97 NBA season, he played for both the San Antonio Spurs and the Washington Bullets.
