Genki Nagasato (永里 源気, Nagasato Genki, born December 16, 1985) is a Japanese footballer. He plays for Hayabusa Eleven FC. He is known for his skills as a forward, which is a player who tries to score goals. He can also play as a midfielder, helping both defense and attack.

Genki comes from a family of talented football players. His sisters, Yuki Nagasato and Asano Nagasato, have both played for the Japan women's national football team.

Genki usually plays on the left side of the field as a "left-winger." This means he runs along the side, trying to get the ball into a good position for scoring. He can also switch to the right side. He is very good at running with the ball and has a strong aim for the goal. In 2010, he was the top scorer for Avispa Fukuoka, scoring 15 goals in the league that season.

His Football Journey

Genki Nagasato has played for many different football clubs throughout his career. He started playing professionally in Japan and later played in Thailand.

Early Years and First Clubs

Genki began his youth career with Tokyo Verdy and then Shonan Bellmare. He joined Shonan Bellmare's main team in 2004. He played there for several years, gaining experience and improving his skills.

Moving to New Teams

After Shonan Bellmare, Genki played for Tokyo Verdy in 2009. In 2010, he moved to Avispa Fukuoka, where he had a very successful season, scoring many goals. He then joined Ventforet Kofu in 2011. During his time with Ventforet Kofu, he also played for FC Tokyo on a temporary loan in 2011. With FC Tokyo, he helped the team win the Emperor's Cup in 2011, which is a big football tournament in Japan.

In 2013, Genki played for Gainare Tottori. After that, he moved to Thailand to play for Ratchaburi F.C. from 2014 to 2015, and then Port F.C. from 2016 to 2017. He returned to Japan to play for Tokyo United FC in 2018 and 2019. Since 2020, he has been playing for Hayabusa Eleven.
