Gennifer Diane Brandon was born on November 23, 1990. She is a former American professional basketball player. Gennifer played as a forward for the Chicago Sky team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Before becoming a professional, she played college basketball at the University of California, Berkeley. She also attended Chatsworth High School in Chatsworth, California.

High School and College Years
Gennifer Brandon started her basketball journey in high school. She played for Chatsworth High School in California. She was a very talented player, earning a spot as a McDonald's All-American in 2009. This means she was one of the best high school players in the country.
After high school, Gennifer went on to play college basketball. She joined the California Golden Bears team at the University of California, Berkeley. She played there from 2009 to 2014.
During her college career, Gennifer was known for her strong rebounding skills. In her junior year (2012–13), she had her best season. She averaged over 12 points and 11 rebounds per game. Her excellent play earned her a spot on the All-Pac-12 team in 2013. She missed the 2010–11 season due to an injury but came back strong.
Playing Professionally in the WNBA
In 2014, Gennifer Brandon was chosen in the 2014 WNBA draft. The Chicago Sky team picked her in the second round, as the 22nd overall pick. This was a big step, as she joined the professional Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
