Geoff Rodkey (born September 9, 1970) is an American writer. He writes both books for kids and screenplays for movies. He is known for his funny adventure stories and family-friendly films.
His latest book is a comedy called Lights Out in Lincolnwood. Before that, he worked with comedian Kevin Hart on a book called Marcus Makes a Movie. He also wrote the science fiction comedy We're Not From Here. In 2018, he helped create The Story Pirates Present: Stuck in the Stone Age. This book came with a guide to help young writers.
Geoff Rodkey also wrote a popular four-book series called The Tapper Twins. The first book in this series was The Tapper Twins Go To War (With Each Other), published in 2015. His very first novel was Deadweather and Sunrise. This book was the start of The Chronicles of Egg series, which is full of comedy and adventure for middle school readers.
Besides books, Geoff Rodkey has written for several movies. He wrote the first two Daddy Day Care films. He also wrote RV and The Shaggy Dog.
He even received a special award nomination called an Emmy. This was for his writing on a TV show called Politically Incorrect in 1996. The show talked about current events and politics in a funny way.
