Sir Geoffrey Cornewall, 6th Baronet (born May 7, 1869 – died January 21, 1951) was an important person from Moccas Court, Herefordshire, England. He was a British archer who took part in the 1908 Summer Olympics held in London. He also served his community in various public roles.

Sir Geoffrey Cornewall was born at Moccas Court in Moccas, Herefordshire. He went to Eton College, which is a famous school. After that, he studied at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, a well-known university. While at Cambridge, he was a member of the Pitt Club.

Olympic Archery Adventures

Sir Geoffrey was a skilled archer. He competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. In 1908, he entered the double York round event. He finished in 15th place, scoring 430 points. He also took part in the Continental style event. His exact result for this event is not known.

Serving His Community

Sir Geoffrey Cornewall took over the family title, the Cornewall Baronetcy, on September 25, 1908, after his father passed away. He was very involved in his local community. He served as a Justice of the Peace for Herefordshire. This role meant he helped keep law and order.

He was also a Deputy Lieutenant for Herefordshire. This is a senior role that supports the Lord-Lieutenant, who represents the King or Queen in the county. In 1913, he was chosen to be the High Sheriff of Herefordshire. This was an important position responsible for law enforcement and other duties in the county. Later, in 1934, he became the Vice Lord-Lieutenant. Sir Geoffrey was also an Alderman for the Herefordshire County Council.
