George Flaggs Jr., born on March 20, 1953, is an American politician. He is currently the Mayor of Vicksburg, Mississippi. He first became mayor in 2013 and has been reelected twice, in 2017 and 2021. He is an independent politician.

George Flaggs Jr.'s Political Journey

Before he became mayor, Mr. Flaggs served in the Mississippi House of Representatives. He represented the 55th district from 1988 to 2013. This means he helped make laws for his part of Mississippi for many years.
