George Hay-Drummond (born July 16, 1827 – died January 30, 1897) was a Scottish nobleman and a keen cricketer. He held important titles like the 12th Earl of Kinnoull. Before he became the Earl in 1866, people knew him as Viscount Dupplin. He was also a Justice of the Peace and a Deputy Lieutenant for Perthshire, which meant he helped keep law and order and represented the Crown in his area.

George Hay-Drummond was the son of Thomas Robert Hay-Drummond, 11th Earl of Kinnoull. His mother was Louisa Burton Rowley.
Family Life
On July 20, 1848, George married Lady Emily Blanche Charlotte Somerset. She was the daughter of Henry Somerset, 7th Duke of Beaufort. Emily was born on January 26, 1828, and sadly passed away on January 27, 1895.
George himself died on January 30, 1897, when he was 69 years old. He was buried in the family's private burying ground at Dupplin Castle.
Public Service
George Hay-Drummond served his community in important roles. He was a Justice of the Peace (JP) for Perthshire, which meant he helped with local legal matters. He was also a Deputy Lieutenant (DL) for Perthshire, a role that involved representing the monarch in the county.
His Children
George and Emily had nine children together:
- George Robert Hay, Viscount Dupplin (1849–1886): He married Lady Agnes Duff. They had one daughter.
- Lady Constance Blanche Louisa (1851–1931): She married a cricketer named Walter Henry Hadow.
