Giampiero Pinzi is a former professional footballer from Italy. He was born on March 11, 1981. Pinzi played as a midfielder, which means he helped both defend and attack for his team. He is well-known for spending many years playing for the Udinese club.

Pinzi's Football Journey

Starting with Lazio

Giampiero Pinzi began his football career with the team Lazio. He joined their main team in 1999. This team played in Italy's top football league, called Serie A.

Playing for Udinese

After playing for Lazio for one year, Pinzi moved to another team in the Serie A league, Udinese. He stayed with Udinese for a very long time, from 2000 to 2015.

Playing for Chievo

In 2008, Pinzi went to play for Chievo on a loan. A loan means a player temporarily moves to another team. Chievo announced in July 2009 that Pinzi would stay with them for another season.

Back to Udinese

Pinzi returned to Udinese for the 2010–11 Serie A season. He became a key player in the middle of the field. He played alongside other strong players like Gökhan Inler and Kwadwo Asamoah. Pinzi helped his team by providing 6 assists during that season.

Later, Pinzi's role changed. He started playing more as an attacking midfielder. He often played close to the forward, Antonio Di Natale. In October 2012, he signed a new contract with Udinese that lasted until June 30, 2016.

Later Clubs

After 15 years with Udinese, Pinzi returned to Chievo on August 31, 2015. He had played there before from 2008 to 2010.

On August 10, 2016, Pinzi signed with Brescia. This team played in Serie B, which is Italy's second-highest football league. He joined them as a free agent, meaning his contract with his previous club had ended.

Finally, on January 8, 2019, Pinzi left Padova. His contract was ended by agreement between him and the club.

Playing for Italy

Giampiero Pinzi also played for Italy's national football teams. With the Under-21 Italian team, he won the 2004 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. He also earned a bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He made his only appearance for the main Italian national team in 2005.
