Gil's Role in Triumph
Gil Moore helped write many of Triumph's songs. He also sang lead vocals on several of them, both on albums and during live shows. While Rik Emmett's songs were often more melodic, Gil's singing and writing style leaned towards blues and hard rock. However, on Triumph's last two albums with the original lineup, Gil also started writing and singing lead on some softer, ballad-style songs.
