Gil Moore is a talented Canadian musician. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, on October 4, 1953. Gil is best known as the drummer and one of the main singers for the famous rock band Triumph. He shared singing duties with the band's guitarist, Rik Emmett. Before joining Triumph, Gil was part of a band called Sherman & Peabody.

Gil's Role in Triumph

Gil Moore helped write many of Triumph's songs. He also sang lead vocals on several of them, both on albums and during live shows. While Rik Emmett's songs were often more melodic, Gil's singing and writing style leaned towards blues and hard rock. However, on Triumph's last two albums with the original lineup, Gil also started writing and singing lead on some softer, ballad-style songs.

Beyond the Band: Metalworks Studios

Gil Moore is not just a musician; he's also a successful businessman. He owns Metalworks Studios, which is Canada's largest recording studio. This amazing studio is located in Mississauga, Ontario. Metalworks Studios has been around for over 40 years, helping many famous artists record their music. Some of the big names who have recorded there include Drake, Guns N' Roses, the Cranberries, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, and the Jonas Brothers. Gil Moore is the CEO of Metalworks Studios, Metalworks Production Group, and Metalworks Institute, which is a school for music and entertainment.
