Joseph Jean Gilles Tremblay (born December 17, 1938 – died November 26, 2014) was a Canadian ice hockey player. He played as a left winger. Gilles played his entire career in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Montreal Canadiens. This was from the 1960 season to the 1969 season.
He played 509 games in the NHL. He scored 168 goals and made 162 assists. Gilles had to stop playing hockey at age 31 because of injuries. He helped the Canadiens win the Stanley Cup four times. These wins happened in 1965, 1966, 1968, and 1969.
After playing hockey, Gilles became a TV and radio announcer. He talked about hockey in French from 1971 to 1997. He won the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award in 2002 for his great broadcasting work. Gilles Tremblay passed away in Montreal, Quebec, when he was 75 years old.
