Gilmar Luís Rinaldi (born January 13, 1959) is a famous Brazilian former football player. He was a talented goalkeeper, which is the player who protects the goal. After his playing days, Gilmar became a successful football agent, helping other players with their careers. He also worked as a coordinator for the Brazilian national football team.

Early Years in Brazil
Gilmar began his professional career with Internacional in 1978. He stayed with them until 1985. During this time, he helped Internacional win the Rio Grande do Sul State Championship four times in a row, from 1981 to 1984.
After Internacional, Gilmar moved to São Paulo. He played there from 1986 to 1990. With São Paulo, he won the São Paulo State Championship three times (1985, 1987, 1989). He also helped them win the Brazilian National Championship in 1986.
From 1991 to 1994, Gilmar played for Flamengo. Here, he continued his winning streak. He won the Rio State Championship in 1991. He also helped Flamengo win another Brazilian National Championship in 1992.
Playing in Japan
In 1995, Gilmar moved to Japan to play for Cerezo Osaka. He played there for three seasons until 1997. This was a new experience for him, playing in a different country and league. He played many games for Cerezo Osaka before he retired as a player.
