Ginny's Music Journey
Ginny Blackmore decided to follow her dream of becoming a musician when she was just 16 years old. Her school principal even encouraged her to leave school early to focus on her music career, and her parents supported her choice.
She began her journey in London, where she got a special deal to write songs for other artists. She wrote songs for famous singers like Christina Aguilera and Adam Lambert. But soon, Ginny realized she wanted to sing her own songs. So, she wrote and performed two songs called SFM and Bones.
Her music impressed a well-known music manager named Mark Sudack. She later signed with Epic Records, a big music company. Ginny performed Bones on the TV show Live with Kelly and Michael in June 2013. She also opened for the band OneRepublic at their concerts in Auckland and Wellington in November 2013.
Ginny Blackmore is still signed with Epic Records. In March 2015, she appeared on the second season of the New Zealand version of The X Factor. She helped mentor the "Girls" category for singer Stan Walker. She also performed her song Love Me Anyway on one of the live shows.
