Giulio Monteverde (born October 8, 1837 – died October 3, 1917) was an important Italian sculptor and teacher. He was known for his realistic style of art, which means his sculptures looked very much like real people and things.

About Giulio Monteverde

Giulio Monteverde was born in a town called Bistagno in Italy. He went to study art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Later, he became a professor there, teaching other artists.

Some of his students, like Lola Mora and Victor de Pol, became famous sculptors themselves. They created many public artworks in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
