Gláucio de Jesus Carvalho (born on November 11, 1975, in São Paulo, Brazil) is a former professional footballer. He played as a Midfielder during his career. Gláucio is from Brazil but played for many different teams around the world.

Gláucio's Football Journey
Early Career in Brazil and Europe
Gláucio began his football journey at a club called Portuguesa in Brazil. In December 1994, he moved to Europe to play for Feyenoord in the Netherlands. He returned to Brazil for a short time in 1996 to play for Flamengo. Later that year, in November 1996, he went back to the Netherlands to play for Excelsior Rotterdam. He played his last game for Feyenoord in September 1997. After that, he returned to Brazil again, playing for clubs like Guarani and América (RJ).
Playing in Spain and Beyond
From 2000 to 2002, Gláucio played in Spain for Rayo Vallecano. This team was part of La Liga, which is Spain's top football league. After his time in Spain, he went back to Brazil to play for Corinthians Alagoano.
Adventures in Asia and Retirement
In September 2003, Gláucio moved to the Qatari league in Asia. He then had short periods playing for Internacional and Paulista in Brazil. In March 2005, he moved to Japan to play for Avispa Fukuoka.
After his time in Japan, he returned to Paulista. In July 2007, he signed a one-year contract with São Caetano in Brazil. In January 2008, Gláucio moved to Al-Salmiya in Kuwait. He returned to Brazil in July of the same year.
Gláucio moved to Oeste from Vitória in 2010. He officially retired as a professional football player in May 2010.
International Appearances
Gláucio also represented his country, Brazil, on the international stage. He played in the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship. This was a big tournament for young football players from around the world.
