Glen Finart (which is Gleann Fhionnaird in Scottish Gaelic) is a beautiful valley in Scotland. It's located on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute. This special place is part of the Argyll Forest Park, which is inside the larger Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

What is Glen Finart?

A glen is a type of valley, often long and deep. Glen Finart was carved out by huge glaciers many thousands of years ago. Imagine giant sheets of ice slowly moving and shaping the land!

Where is Glen Finart Located?

Glen Finart stretches from the northwest towards Loch Long. It starts near Finart Bay and the village of Ardentinny. The glen follows a small stream called the Finart Burn as it flows towards the loch.

The Story of Glenfinart House

Long ago, there was a large house called Glenfinart House in the glen. It was considered an important old building. Sadly, a fire destroyed most of the house in the 1960s. Today, only a part of the old house, its tower, still stands.
