About Glenda Green
Glenda Green was born in 1945 in Weatherford, Texas. In 1970, she married Victor Koshkin-Youritzin, who was an art historian. They moved to Norman, Oklahoma, in 1972. Later, in 1980, she married Brian Bibb.
Glenda's Education
Glenda studied painting at Texas Christian University (TCU). She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1967. While at TCU, she won first place in a national painting contest for college students. She graduated with high honors.
She then went to Tulane University and earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in art history in 1970. Her main study was about French Gothic sculpture. During her M.A. studies, she received a special fellowship for three years. She also taught art history and managed the art collections at Newcomb College. From 1968 to 1969, she worked at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas, as a research assistant.
Glenda's Career
Glenda's career as a painter really started in 1970 after she finished her M.A. degree. She became a well-known portrait painter and realist artist. From 1972 to 1976, she taught art history at the University of Oklahoma. She also worked there as a guest artist.

From 1986 to 1987, the Oklahoma Art Center in Oklahoma City held a special show of her paintings and portraits. In 1998, she had another show at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art. Today, more than 20% of her artwork is owned by famous museums around the world. These include the Louvre, the British Museum, the Hermitage, and the Prado.
Spiritual Journey
In 1992, Glenda began creating a painting of Christ called The Lamb and The Lion. This painting inspired her to start writing about spiritual topics. She has shared that before 1991, she had not thought about her art having a special spiritual purpose. This changed when she was asked to paint a portrait of Jesus Christ.
Today, Glenda Green gives talks about spirituality. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas.
