Glenlusk's History
Glenlusk became an officially recognized place in 1961. When a place is "gazetted," it means its name and boundaries are formally written down and published by the government. This makes it an official locality on maps and for administrative purposes.
Glenlusk's Landscape
The natural features of Glenlusk help define its borders. A stream called Sorell Creek forms part of its western edge. Other parts of Glenlusk's boundaries follow natural lines like the tops of hills (ridge lines) or lines drawn by surveyors. These natural and surveyed lines help separate Glenlusk from its neighboring areas.
