History of Glenwood City
Glenwood City started in 1880. It was once a stop for the Wisconsin Central Railway. This was a train line that helped people travel and move goods. Today, the train line to Glenwood City is no longer used.
Geography and Location
Glenwood City covers about 2.49 square miles (6.45 square kilometers) of land. There is no water area within the city limits.
Natural Features
The city is located along a stream called Tiffany Creek.
Roads and Highways
Two main roads, Wisconsin Highway 128 and Wisconsin Highway 170, pass through Glenwood City. Other important local roads include County Roads G and X, Oak Street, and Maple Street.
