Go4It facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Go4It was a special radio show just for kids in the UK. It was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 every Sunday evening. This show was one of the few on national radio made especially for younger listeners. It ran for several years, from 2001 to 2009.

Why Go4It Ended

In March 2009, it was announced that the Go4It show would stop. The very last episode was broadcast on May 24, 2009. The main reason given was that not enough young people were listening to it.

Even though the show had about 450,000 listeners on average, only about 20,000 of them were between the ages of 4 and 14. Most of the listeners were much older, around 52 to 55 years old. Because Go4It was cancelled, there are now no children's programmes on BBC analogue radio.
