Goodyear Lake is a cool place in Otsego County, New York. It's not a natural lake, but a man-made one. This means it was created by people building a dam. The lake is located southwest of a small town called Portlandville. It's part of the Town of Milford.

How Goodyear Lake Was Made

Goodyear Lake was formed when the Colliersville Dam was built. This dam holds back water from the Susquehanna River. The Susquehanna River also flows out of the lake. Another stream, Spring Brook, also flows into the lake. This makes Goodyear Lake a reservoir, which is like a big storage area for water.
