Goran "Goca" Jurić (born 5 February 1963) is a Croatian former professional footballer. He played as a defender, which means his main job was to stop the other team from scoring goals.
During his career, Goran played for several famous clubs. These included Velež Mostar, Red Star Belgrade, Celta Vigo, Croatia Zagreb, Yokohama F. Marinos, and NK Zagreb. He also played for two national teams: Yugoslavia and Croatia.

Club Career Highlights
Goran Jurić started his football journey at Velež Mostar in 1982. He played there for five years, showing his skills as a strong defender.
Playing for Red Star Belgrade
From 1987 to 1991, Goran played for Red Star Belgrade. This was a very successful time for him and the team. They won the Yugoslav First League three times in a row. The biggest achievement was winning the European Cup in the 1990-91 season. This is one of the most important club trophies in European football.
Time in Spain with Celta Vigo
After his success in Yugoslavia, Goran moved to Spain to play for Celta Vigo in 1991. He played 76 games for them. In 1993, he had to leave the club because he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This is a health condition that needs careful management.
Returning to Croatia
Goran then returned to Croatia and joined Croatia Zagreb (now known as Dinamo Zagreb). He had another very successful period here. He helped the team win the Croatian First League four times in a row. They also won the Croatian Cup twice.
He also had loan spells at Hrvatski Dragovoljac and NK Zagreb during his time in Croatia.
Playing in Japan
Later in his career, in 2000, Goran moved to Japan to play for Yokohama F. Marinos. He played 13 games for them before returning to NK Zagreb in 2001, where he finished his playing career.

Representing Yugoslavia
He first played for the Yugoslavia national football team. His first game was in September 1988 against Spain. He played a total of 4 games for Yugoslavia.
Playing for Croatia
After Yugoslavia broke up, Goran started playing for the Croatia national football team. His first game for Croatia was in April 1997. He played 16 games for Croatia.
He was part of the Croatian squad for the 1998 FIFA World Cup held in France. Even though he didn't play in any matches, he was a member of the team that achieved an amazing third-place finish, winning the bronze medal. This was a historic moment for Croatian football. His last international game was in October 1999.
