Where is Goulais Bay Located?
Goulais Bay is found in the Algoma District of Ontario. It has natural boundaries that help define its shape. To the north, you will find Goulais Point. This point is on the southern tip of a piece of land. This land separates Goulais Bay from Batchawana Bay to the north. It also separates it from Whitefish Bay to the west. To the south, a rocky area known as North Gros Cap marks the bay's southern edge.
Rivers and Nearby Communities
The Goulais River flows into the eastern side of Goulais Bay. This river adds fresh water to the bay. Near where the river meets the bay, there is a small rural community. It is also called Goulais Bay. On the western shore of the bay, you can find another community. This community is known as Goulais Mission.
