Grace Neutral's Early Life
Grace Neutral was born in Dubai on March 29, 1989. As a child, she traveled a lot with her family. Her father worked as a captain in the Merchant Navy, which meant he sailed ships for a living.
Later, her family moved back to England. They settled in a village called Newton Ferrers in Devon. Grace went to a private school there called Plymouth College. When she was 20, she moved to London.
Discovering Her Path
Grace started ballet dancing when she was very young. She even took classes at famous schools like Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and the Royal Ballet. However, a hip injury at age 14 stopped her ballet career.
After her injury, Grace became interested in alternative culture. She started going to punk music shows. This led her to discover tattoos and other forms of body art. These interests later became a big part of her career. In 2008, she moved to Bristol to study stage makeup. Then, in 2010, she moved to London and worked at a café.
Grace has several unique body modifications. These include a split tongue, tattooed eyes, and special ear shapes. She also has facial scarification and her navel (belly button) was removed.
Grace Neutral's Career Journey
Grace began her career in the body modification world as a piercer. This means she helped people get piercings. After moving to London, she got an apprenticeship at Self Sacrifice Tattoo. An apprenticeship is like a training program where you learn a skill on the job.
She learned a lot from her trainer, Ala. Ala was part of a performance group called The Psycho Cyborgs. This made Grace even more interested in body art. In 2011, she was working as a piercer at Pure Ink. She was asked to model for a book about London tattoos and even appeared on the cover! Grace also worked at Good Times Tattoo and attended the London Tattoo Convention with them in 2014.
Grace Neutral is also the founder of her own studio, called Femme Fatale Studio.
