SpaceGhostPurrp shared Denzel's mixtape on his social media. This helped Denzel get noticed in the local music scene. Soon after, he joined SpaceGhostPurrp's hip-hop group, Raider Klan.

Denzel Curry left Raider Klan in 2013. He released his first studio album, Nostalgic 64, in September of that year, while he was still in high school. Since then, he has released several projects.
