Elvis is a 2022 biographical musical drama movie directed by Baz Luhrmann. The movie stars Austin Butler as the title character, Tom Hanks, Helen Thomson, Richard Roxburgh, Olivia DeJonge, Luke Bracey, Natasha Bassett, David Wenham, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Xavier Samuel, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Elvis premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25, 2022. It was theatrically released in Australia on June 23, 2022, and in the United States on June 24, by Warner Bros. Pictures. The movie had positive reviews from critics.
