The band has had the same members since they started in 1991. These members are rapper Zack de la Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, bass player Tim Commerford, and drummer Brad Wilk. Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk were also part of another band called Audioslave with Chris Cornell.

Music Albums and Their Impact

Rage Against the Machine released their very first album in 1992. It was named Rage Against the Machine, just like the band. This album sold many copies and became quite popular. It even reached number 40 on the Billboard Top 200 music chart.

Later Albums

The band did not release another album until 1996. This second album was called Evil Empire. Their third album, The Battle of Los Angeles, came out in 1999. Soon after, in 2000, the band released an album of cover songs called Renegades. These albums helped them become one of the most important bands of their time.
