Wanani Gradi Mariadi (born on November 28, 1990), known as Gradur, is a French rapper. He was born in Roubaix, France, and has roots in Congo. Gradur first became famous for his "Sheguey" freestyles. Freestyles are rap songs made up on the spot.
Gradur's Music Journey
Gradur began his music career as part of a rap group called 59. He quickly gained many fans online. He then started his own group, which he called "Sheguey Squad." The word "sheguey" means "child of the street" in a Congolese language.
First Big Releases
In 2014, Gradur released his first mixtape, ShegueyVara. A mixtape is like an album, but often released independently or with less formal promotion. This mixtape included the music video "Traction."
