Roubaix is a city located in northern France. It is part of the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region. About 94,000 people live here. The city is close to Lille and Tourcoing, and you can travel between them using a metro or tram. Roubaix is also very near the border with Belgium.
The city is famous for a big cycling race called Paris-Roubaix. This race is over 259 kilometers long. Almost 50 kilometers of the race are on bumpy cobblestone roads.
