Grandview is a small town in Bayfield County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2020, about 508 people lived here. This was a bit more than the 468 people who lived here in 2010. A smaller community called Grand View is also part of the town of Grandview. U.S. Highway 63 is an important road that goes through the town.

History of Grandview

The town of Grandview has an interesting past. It was first created in 1898. Back then, it was known by a different name: the town of Pratt. Many years later, in 1969, the name was officially changed to the town of Grandview.

Geography and Land

Grandview is located in a beautiful area of Wisconsin. The town covers a total area of about 277.5 square kilometers (or 107.1 square miles). Most of this area is land, about 270.5 square kilometers (104.4 square miles). The rest, about 7.0 square kilometers (2.7 square miles), is water. This means about 2.52% of the town's area is covered by water.

People of Grandview

In 2000, there were 483 people living in Grandview. These people lived in 222 different homes. Out of these homes, 144 were families.

  • John C. Sibbald was a Wisconsin State Representative. He lived in the town and owned a general store. Before the town's name changed to Grandview, Sibbald served as the town clerk and town chairman of the town of Pratt.
