Grant, Ohio facts for kids
Grant is a small place in Hardin County, Ohio, in the state of Ohio in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town does. Instead, it's usually managed by the county.
A Look Back at Grant's History
Grant got its name from a very famous person: Ulysses S. Grant. He was a brave general during the American Civil War and later became the 18th President of the United States.
A post office opened in Grant way back in 1863. This was a big deal because it helped people send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years, until it closed in 1913.
