Great Trowlesworthy Tor is a cool rock formation called a tor found on the southwestern edge of Dartmoor in England. It's made of granite, which is a very hard type of rock. This tor is a popular place for people to go walking and is located near the well-known Cadover Bridge.

Great Trowlesworthy Tor stands tall at 357 meters (about 1,171 feet) above sea level. It's a fantastic place for a hike. The easiest way to reach it is by starting from Trowlesworthy Farm. The views from the top are amazing!
Little Trowlesworthy Tor
Close by, on the western side of Great Trowlesworthy Tor, is a smaller tor called Little Trowlesworthy Tor. It's about 330 meters (1,083 feet) high. This smaller tor has a bit of history attached to it.
The Flagpole's Story
Little Trowlesworthy Tor is known for having an old, unused flagpole. This flagpole was put there in the 1920s. It was used to celebrate when Devonport became a separate town from Plymouth. This meant Devonport had its own local government and was not controlled by Plymouth anymore. It was a big deal for the people of Devonport at the time!
