The Flagpole's Story

Little Trowlesworthy Tor is known for having an old, unused flagpole. This flagpole was put there in the 1920s. It was used to celebrate when Devonport became a separate town from Plymouth. This meant Devonport had its own local government and was not controlled by Plymouth anymore. It was a big deal for the people of Devonport at the time!
