This trail is a very long hiking path that stretches across the western United States. The lake is also near a camping spot called North Fork, which is popular with backpackers.

What is Green View Lake?

Green View Lake is a type of lake known as a glacial lake. This means it was formed thousands of years ago by huge sheets of ice called glaciers. As glaciers moved, they scraped away rock and soil, creating deep hollows in the land. When the glaciers melted, these hollows filled with water, forming lakes like Green View Lake.

Green View Lake is nestled high up in the North Cascades National Park. This park is a wild and rugged area known for its towering mountains, deep valleys, and many glaciers. It's located in Chelan County, Washington, which is in the northern part of Washington state. The lake sits at an elevation of about 5,459 ft (1,664 m) above sea level, which is quite high!

How big is Green View Lake?
