Greenshields is a small community located in central Alberta, Canada. It is known as a hamlet, which is a type of very small settlement, often without its own local government. Greenshields is part of the Municipal District of Wainwright No. 61.
You can find Greenshields about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) east of Highway 41. It is also located approximately 74 kilometers (46 miles) southwest of a larger city called Lloydminster.

The community of Greenshields was named after a person called E. B. Greenshields. He was an important official who worked for the railroad.
