Greer Barnes (born in 1964) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is known for his clever jokes, funny observations about everyday life, and energetic performances. He often uses different voices and body movements to make people laugh. Greer has performed at many comedy festivals, in TV commercials, on television shows, and in movies. You can often find him performing at The Comedy Cellar in New York City.

Greer's Early Life and Comedy Journey

Greer Barnes was born in the South Bronx and grew up on Manhattan's West Side. He had a Jewish stepfather and celebrated his bar mitzvah when he was thirteen. In high school, Greer was a talented athlete, especially in baseball. When he was 19, he had a chance to try out for the San Francisco Giants baseball team. However, he couldn't afford the trip to get there.

Instead of baseball, Greer started doing stand-up comedy. He quickly became very popular in the New York comedy scene. His comedy heroes are famous comedians like Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy. Greer has performed at many well-known comedy clubs, including Catch a Rising Star, Comic Strip Live, The Comedy Cellar, and Carolines on Broadway. In 2014, he released his first comedy album, called See What I'm Saying.
