Gregory Alan Grant (born August 29, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player. He was a talented point guard who played in the NBA.

Greg Grant's Early Life and College Journey
Greg Grant faced challenges growing up. While in high school, he worked at a fish market. He was discovered playing basketball at a local playground. In 1986, he enrolled at Trenton State College. This school is now known as The College of New Jersey, or TCNJ.
College Basketball Success
At TCNJ, Greg became a star player. In 1989, he led Division III in scoring. Division III is a level of college sports for schools that do not offer athletic scholarships. He was recognized as the NABC Division III Player of the Year in 1989. He was also named an All-American twice, in 1988 and 1989.
Greg Grant's NBA Career
In 1989, Greg Grant was chosen by the Phoenix Suns in the NBA draft. He was the 52nd player picked overall. Even though he was only 5 feet 7 inches tall, he made it to the NBA. He played for six years in the NBA. During that time, he played for six different teams.
Life After the NBA: Coaching and Mentoring
After his playing career, Greg Grant continued to be involved in basketball. He now runs a sports academy in Trenton. There, he helps young athletes improve their skills. He also offers special one-on-one lessons and basketball clinics.
Sharing His Story
Greg Grant wrote a book about his life called 94 Feet and Rising: The Journey of Greg Grant to the NBA and Beyond. He wrote it with the help of Martin Sumners. The book tells the amazing story of his journey. It covers everything from playing on playgrounds to reaching college and then the NBA. The book was released on July 17, 2009.
High School Coaching Success
In 2010, Greg Grant became the head coach for Trenton Central High School. He focused on helping his players succeed both in school and on the court. During the 2013–14 school year, his team had an impressive record of 27 wins and only 3 losses. They won the Mercer County division title. They also won the school's first-ever Colonial Valley Conference Championship.
Greg Grant retired from coaching after five years. His coaching record was 100 wins and 32 losses. A great achievement was that 100 percent of his players graduated from high school.
