Gregory is a small community in Woodruff County, Arkansas, United States. It's known as an "unincorporated community," which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. It's also a "census-designated place" (CDP), which is an area the U.S. Census Bureau defines for gathering population data.
In the 2020 census, Gregory had a population of 43 people. You can find Gregory along Arkansas Highway 33, about 9 miles (14 km) south of Augusta. Gregory also has its own post office with the ZIP code 72059.
Gregory once had its own train service. This was thanks to the Augusta and Southeastern Railway. This railway was later bought by the White and Black River Valley Railway in 1890. The train line was 6 miles long and connected Gregory to Wiville, Arkansas. But the train service stopped in 1934.

The Gregory post office is on the west side of Arkansas Highway 33. Its address is 20087 Highway 33 South. It's right next to the old Gregory Store. For many years, the store and post office were the most well-known spots in Gregory. The current store building was built in 1989. This happened after a fire destroyed the first Gregory Store. The old post office building is across the street, but it has been empty for a while.
Churches and Cemetery
Two church buildings are also important landmarks in the area.
- Gregory Baptist Church is located at 20184 Highway 33 South. It was started in 1941. Services are still held there every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM.
- Walnut Grove Baptist Church is also nearby. It's just around the corner from Gregory Baptist Church. This church also holds regular services.
Next to Gregory Baptist Church and Walnut Grove Baptist Church is the Historic Reed Cemetery. Many of the gravestones in this cemetery show burial dates from the early 1800s.
