Where is Grosse Tête Located?

Grosse Tête is found in the northern part of Iberville Parish. It is next to the village of Rosedale. A small waterway called Bayou Grosse Tete flows through the eastern side of the village. A "bayou" is a slow-moving stream or a marshy lake.

Travel and Roads

Interstate 10, a major highway, goes through the northern part of the village. You can get on or off I-10 at Exit 139. This highway connects Grosse Tête to Baton Rouge, which is about 16 miles (26 km) to the east. It also leads to Lafayette, about 39 miles (63 km) to the west.

Louisiana Highway 77 also runs through the area. It goes about 22 miles (35 km) to Plaquemine. Plaquemine is the main city of Iberville Parish.
