Gustavo José Joaquín Noboa Bejarano (born August 21, 1937 – died February 16, 2021) was an important politician from Ecuador. He served as the 42nd President of Ecuador from January 22, 2000, to January 15, 2003. Before becoming president, he was the Vice President under President Jamil Mahuad from 1998 to 2000.

Early Life and Education
Gustavo Noboa was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on August 21, 1937. He studied at the University of Guayaquil. Later, he became a professor there. He was married to María Isabel Baquerizo.
Political Career
Noboa had a long career in public service. He served as the Governor of Guayas Province. This role is similar to a state governor. He then became the Vice President of Ecuador. This happened in 1998.
Becoming President
Gustavo Noboa became president in 2000. He took office after a period of political change. His time as president lasted for almost three years. He worked on important issues for Ecuador.
Later Life and Passing
After his presidency, Noboa continued to be a respected figure. He passed away on February 16, 2021. He was 83 years old. He died in Miami, Florida, in the United States, due to health reasons.
