Hagaman (/ˈheɪɡəmən/), once known as Hagamans Mills, is a small village in Montgomery County, New York, United States. It is located in the Town of Amsterdam, just northeast of the City of Amsterdam. The village was named after Joseph Hagaman, who helped found the community. In 2010, about 1,292 people lived here. By 2020, the population was 1,117.

History of Hagaman Village
The community that became Hagaman was first settled around 1777. It was originally called Hagamans Mills. Today, the village offices are located in a special old building called Pawling Hall. This building is very important because it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which means it's recognized for its historical value. It was added to the list in 2002.
Village Leadership
The Village of Hagaman has its own leaders who help run the community. Currently, Robert Tom Krom serves as the mayor. The mayor works with several other people called trustees. These trustees act like a small legislature, helping to make decisions and rules for the village.
