Hal Steinbrenner, born on December 3, 1969, is an American businessman. He is most famous for leading Yankee Global Enterprises. This company owns the New York Yankees, a famous baseball team. He also owns parts of two soccer clubs: New York City Football Club in the U.S. and AC Milan in Italy. Hal and his brothers and sisters took over the Yankees from their father, George Steinbrenner, after he passed away in 2010.

His Family and School Life
Hal Steinbrenner is the younger son of George Steinbrenner and Joan Steinbrenner. He has two sisters, Jessica and Jennifer. His older brother, Hank Steinbrenner, passed away in 2020.
Hal went to Culver Military Academy for high school. After that, he studied at Williams College and earned a degree in 1991. He then went on to get a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Florida in 1994.
The Steinbrenner family also owns a big part of the YES Network. They own 20% of New York City FC, a soccer team. They also have a share in a company called Legends Hospitality. Plus, they own 10% of the Italian soccer team AC Milan.
Leading the Yankees Team
Starting in 2007, Hal's father, George Steinbrenner, began to let Hal and his brother Hank take over running the Yankees. This happened as his father's health declined. Hal Steinbrenner was chosen to be the chairman of Yankee Global Enterprises on September 28, 2007.
On November 20, 2008, the owners of Major League Baseball officially approved Hal Steinbrenner taking charge. He became the main person running the Yankees team.
Since Hal took over, the Yankees have had a lot of success. They won the 2009 World Series. They also won the American League pennant two times. The team has made it to the playoffs eleven times. A new Yankee Stadium also opened in 2009.
In January 2011, Hal Steinbrenner made a big decision. He signed pitcher Rafael Soriano to a three-year contract. This was a different choice than what the general manager, Brian Cashman, had planned.
On August 30, 2022, Hal Steinbrenner bought a small part of the Italian soccer club AC Milan.
