Hala Shiha (Arabic: حلا شيحة) is an Egyptian actress. She was born on February 23, 1979, in Cairo, Egypt. She is well-known for her main roles in films such as Snakes and Ladders and Lost in America.
Hala Shiha decided to stop acting in 2005. This was after she chose to start wearing the hijab, a traditional head covering. The next year, she briefly returned to act in a role while wearing her hijab. Her decision to retire and wear the hijab at a young age caused some discussion. On August 8, 2018, Shiha announced she would return to acting. This happened after pictures of her without a veil were shared online.

Hala Shiha was born in Cairo, Egypt. Her father, Ahmed Shiha, is a famous Egyptian painter. Her mother is a Lebanese artist. Hala is the oldest of four daughters. One of her sisters is also an actress, Hana Shiha.
Hala Shiha is a Muslim. She surprised many when she announced she was leaving acting for the second time. The first time was in 2003. She said she wanted to focus more on her faith. Hala had worn the hijab for about eleven years. Then, she took it off for a while. She decided to wear it again in 2005 when she planned to stop acting. On August 8, 2018, Hala Shiha announced her return to acting. At that time, she also removed her hijab.
She married Moez Masoud in February 2021.
